ACH Payment Processing

ACH payments are electronic payments made directly from one bank to another. ACH stands for Automated Clearing House Network. It allows merchants to accept payments from clients via their bank account.

First Card Payments offers ACH payment processing for businesses of all sizes in various industries including but not limited to: adult, CBD, credit repair, debt collections and nutraceuticals.

There are many advantages to this type of payment solution. First off, you no longer have to run to the bank which definitely saves a lot of time and frustration. Also, it saves the merchant money as far as bank fees are concerned, as well as minimizing errors because it’s an automated process. You can also set up to have your clients pay you automatically when recurring billing is needed. It’s always a plus to be paperless and go green! You’re saving money, saving paper, and its secure.

Why ACH is Right for Your Business

This is a great alternative solution to merchant processing. It allows clients to make purchases without a credit card or a check. ACH has lower fees than merchant processing and is fast, easy, and reliable for both your business and your customers.

How it Works

ACH payment processing is an alternative to using credit cards or paper checks. Customers provide their routing and account number, which is manually entered into the ACH payment gateway or portal by the merchant or the client. The entire process is easy and fast because of our integrated shopping cart. The payment is sent electronically, verified, and the funds are deposited into your business bank account. This is a great alternative for a client who may not have a credit card available to make a payment, whereas approximately 95% of American households have a bank account.

NACHA is not a government agency, but a nonprofit membership association that oversees the ACH industry and works alongside the Treasury and the Federal Reserve, among others. This synergy creates one of the most reliable, safest, and largest payment systems in the world. According to NACHA, back in 2015 the total dollar value of ACH transactions was over $43 trillion. It’s an excellent solution.

What is an eCheck?

eChecks rely on ACH payment processing. eChecks work the same way as paper checks. Money is transferred from one entity to another directly. However, the payment is made through the Automatic Clearing House (ACH) Network. Once an online customer selects the option to pay by eCheck, they enter in their bank routing number and checking account number. The information is encrypted and processed directly.

eChecks Alternatives

Our ACH and eCheck solutions can be utilized by any industry type. Especially any high risk industry, From credit repair to debt relief- you name it!

If your company doesn’t qualify for a merchant processing or high risk ACH merchant account, no worries. The great news is you can start taking payments right away via eCheck, which is not overseen by NACHA like ACH is. This means fewer regulations and restrictions, which allows almost any industry to use this service, as well as certain individuals who can’t qualify for ACH (for reasons like fraud, poor credit, financially barred, etc.)

We offer both ACH and e-check, also known as check 21 to our clients.

Why use eCheck?

eChecks are a win-win for your business and your customers. eChecks are safe and secure, provide peace of mind, and merchants find it’s easy to sign up almost every client that has a bank account. There are fewer barriers to payments and more happy customers.

Benefits

  • Easier approval over ACH and merchant processing
  • Same-day deposits
  • Unlimited volume
  • Accept payments from more financial institutions
  • Not being regulated by NACHA allows higher returns and chargebacks
  • Lower fees than merchant processing
  • Integrate to most platforms (CRMs, Shopping Carts, Gateways)
  • Reduced labor costs
  • More efficient, fewer errors
  • Decreased risk: Harder to dispute transactions

eChecks are especially great for high risk clients who may not qualify for a merchant account and/or an ACH account but need a secure and reliable payment structure. Check 21 / eCheck is accepted by many institutions: banks, brokerages, credit unions, etc.

If you’re a high risk merchant processor you may want to bypass the ACH network completely. The eCheck process through bank-to-bank transfers does just that! As a result, you don’t have to comply with restrictive ACH regulations concerning chargebacks and returns which could be difficult for a majority of high risk merchants to comply with. eChecks bypass the NATCHA regulations allowing businesses to bypass the regulation limits of chargebacks and returns set by NATCHA.

Check 21 / eCheck is extremely easy to use. It only takes 24-72 hrs. for approval. An ACH payment gateway / eCheck payment gateway is then provided, where account and routing numbers can be entered and transactions processed. Also, it can be integrated into a website shopping cart for easy payments, which picks up sales with online shopping. Depending on your bank, a machine can be obtained to allow for quicker deposits.

All that’s needed is a bank routing and checking account number. You can take a picture of the front and back of a check so it can be transmitted by the merchant to the bank electronically, encrypted, easy and fast.
